Metal spinning, also known as spin forming, is a process where metal is formed onto a tool with a special type of roller. This often results in cold work-hardening, meaning stronger parts. In most cases, tooling can be made at a fraction of the cost of stamping. In some cases tooling can even be modified for parts that are in the prototype stage. |
